The oldest fort of Rajasthan, 12 bedrooms for the 12 women of the king, a secret passage, and on top of that in 2013 proclaimed as UNESCO heritage site.. Our curiosity grew and we went to check out this Amer Fort.
A scooter ride to the Aravali hills, just outside Jaipur. To visit the royal tombs of the most famous Rajput rulers and family of Rajasthan. And a Hindu temple, high on top of one of the hills.
The Jal Mahal or ‘Water Palace’ is built in the middle of a lake, and was apparently used for duck hunting by the Maharaja. But nowadays only a part of the building is visible.. how come?
Around the corner of the Wind Palace and in the middle of of city.. you find the enormous complex of the City Palace. Beautifully decorated and still the home of the royal family of Jaipur.
