Of course, there are more than enough good cafes and restaurants with the best food, service and views in Pushkar! In this article we mention 8 places we really liked.
#1 Coffee and cake while overlooking the lake @ Coffee Temple

Probably the place with the best coffee, and the best view over Pushkar Lake! Right at the holy water/banks, overlooking the ghats (stairs) and holy baths.

Besides fresh coffee, very tasty breakfast and cakes! And in case the impossible happens, and you get bored of the view: they have a little library with books left behind by travellers.
They also run a hotel in the same building, in case you’re looking for a room with a lake view (we didn’t check the rooms though..).

You can also visit in the evening for a spectacular sunset view
#2 Experiencing the Sixth Sense in Hotel Inn Seventh Heaven

Atmospheric, light and peaceful, the interior of this hundred year old haveli turned into hotel
This hotel and hundred year old haveli (mansion) is a bit more hidden in the backstreets, and has a beautiful interior (with fairytale-like room names like Rapunzel and Silk Sari).
You can choose to have dinner in the hall on the ground floor, or at the terrasse on the rooftop.

#3 Best overview of the city @ Laura’s Cafe

Another good place to have an overview over the whole town (maybe the best?), is at Laura’s. A small, cozy terrasse and international menu.

#4 Breakfast and dog cuddles @ Moon Cafe

This little cafe is situated in the south of the city, just outside of town. Only a few spots in and outside. And a lot of dogs keeping you company!

#5 Food, music and bonfires @ Raju Terrace Garden Restaurant

At Raju’s you can choose: sit outside on the terrasse at the front. And enjoy all the lakesite activity – cows, monkeys, street artists. Or you can sit inside, or even in the garden at the back (where you can also enjoy various traditional, Indian concerts).
Raju is taking good care of his customers: in case it’s winter and a bit too cold to sit outside, they have these little fire pits (and hot chai and chocolate!) to keep you warm.
#6 Fresh crossiants from Chotu’s French Bakery

Both being addicted to croissants, we had to find this place people were talking about.. a little cafe in the middle of the fields, with an Indian guy, Chotu, who actually knows how to bake real French pastries!
Apparently he sells Italian coffee, croissants, baguettes.. so we had heard enough and started our search!

Enjoyin Italian coffee and French croissants at an Indian swing
And, as you can see, we were not disappointed at all! Okay, it didn’t completely taste like a French croissant because of a different kind of dough, but with the coffee, the chocolat and the Indian twist.. still very good!
You actually sit in Chotu’s backyard. This gives you the opportunity to find out more about his trips to Europe, where he learned his baking skills.
So, if you like the idea of having French – Indian pastry in the middle of the Indian countryside, you should definitely look for the place and try it out for yourself!
#7 The most romantic spot @ Il Padrino Garden Restaurant

Located in a garden as well, this is probably the most romantic restaurant of Pushkar.
You can have dinner at the outside courtyard with a bonfire next to you (and a lost cow that accidently entered the building looking for food).
Or, you can sit inside. The pizzas are the top choice, but as the stairs show, you can choose any kind of cuisine. Enjoy!
#8 Fresh and healthy @ Honey & Spice
Time for the probably the most healthy spot in Pushkar! Here, all the used products and meals are organic. It’s a bit more hidden inside one of the buildings behind the main street. And especially in summer it’s the ideal place to find some cool.
