Tip #8 On the hunt in Pushkar for French croissants

Because we were both addicted to croissants back in Holland, we had to find this place in India people were talking about.. a little cafe in the middle of the fields around Pushkar, with an Indian guy, Chotu, who actually knows how to bake real French pastries!

Apparently he sells Italian coffee, croissants, baguettes.. so we had heard enough and started our search!

And, as you can see, we were not disapointed at all! Okay, it didn’t completely taste like a French croissant because of a different kind of dough, but with the coffee, the chocolat and the Indian twist.. still very good!

You actually sit in Chotu’s backyard. This gives you the opportunity to find out more about his trips to Europe, where he learned his baking skills.

So, if you like the idea of having French – Indian pastry in the middle of the Indian countryside, you should definitely look for the place and try it out for yourself!
